Road Kill Yummies

They are harvesting the cabbages in the fields behind our cabin. When the trucks pull the wagon loads down our road to the packing shed, leaves and cabbages fall out. When we go on our morning 4 mile walks, we take bags and pick up cabbage leaves for Wilbur our pig and from time to time whole cabbages from the road for us humans--hence road kill cabbage. When Robyn and Ron were here, we enjoyed many a delicious road kill cabbage meal--yum, yum. Here's a reenactment for the camera of the collection from today's walk.

  1. Not sure I love the name of "Road Kill Cabbage Stew" but I'm sure it tastes better than it sounds....and you probably wash the cabbage before you boil it (:
